She enlisted in the Marine Corps at seventeen, served two years as a rifleman, and received an honorable discharge after a knee injury. Now she trains clients in a gritty urban gym, still driven by the need to keep people safe, but haunted by the abrupt end of the only life she’d ever wanted.
