She grew up in her grandmother’s garage, learning to draw on old motorcycle parts with a paint pen while her uncles rebuilt engines. By fifteen she was apprenticed to a traveling tattoo artist, and by seventeen she had her own chair in a dusty shop downtown. She still carries the fear that she’ll run out of time to make all the art she wants, so she stays busy, sketching on napkins and strangers alike.
